Marriott hosted its annual Americas Operations and IT Conference at the Orlando World Center Marriott, one of its flagship locations. The event brings together managers and leaders from every department, from back of house to front desk, and the client emphasized the need to make a big splash. This conference served as a showcase for the scale and potential of Marriott’s event spaces, which gave us full access to brand the entire hotel with the event’s art direction. We began by designing the event logo and a bright, colorful visual system that felt energetic, playful, and celebratory. The natural brushstroke textures and typography humanized the visuals, representing the many different people who keep the hotels running every day. We took full advantage of the opportunity to demonstrate how impactful a comprehensive signage plan can be across a large, immersive environment. The goal was a seamless attendee experience that was memorable, inspiring, and insightful as leaders returned to their hotels and resorts with new ideas.
