What does your creative process look like?

From there, I move into the research phase, digging into the competitive landscape, your brand’s positioning, and insights about your target audience. With a solid foundation in place, the creative strategy and art direction take shape. This is where collaboration matters most as we review concepts, refine ideas, and fine-tune the design together. Once the final direction is approved, I prepare and deliver all final files—closing out the project with everything you need to move forward confidently.

How long does a typical project take?

Project timelines can vary depending on scope, urgency, current lead times, and any unforeseen factors. To ensure the best possible outcome, I recommend planning for at least 4-6 weeks so the project can move through the full creative process to deliver the high-quality creative you expect. Every project—large or small—receives my full attention and creative focus. Timelines may shift based on additional revisions, changes in scope or budget, or communication delays.

How do you view the role of AI?

AI is here to stay, and it’s evolving faster than anyone anticipated. As a tool, it unlocks new possibilities—fueling ideas, supporting research, and streamlining creative workflows. When used thoughtfully, it can be incredibly valuable. But at the end of the day, AI is still just that: a tool. It draws from what already exists to generate new combinations, which means it doesn’t produce truly original ideas. And at Kryptic Design, we are in the business of original ideas. Because of this, using AI in creative work requires even greater care, intention, and oversight.

At Kryptic Design, every project begins with authentic, human-driven insight and ends with deliberate human refinement. Here, AI is never a replacement for originality, strategy, or creativity. I never rely solely on AI to create work, and I’m fully transparent about when and how it’s used in a project. If you prefer not to use AI at all, that’s completely okay. Kryptic Design is always happy to accommodate AI-free workflows.

If AI can make a logo, why hire an Art Director?

AI can generate a logo, but it can’t build a brand.
